Kuala Kubu Bharu which was formerly known as the Kuala Kubu placed in Administrative Resident, the first British Resident of President Sir Frank Athelstane Swettenham, followed by JP Rodger and Edward Maxwell. At that time, Kuala Kubu is a gateway to the state of Pahang and on May 6 1931, British 

Before the British colonial powers took over the town.Kuala Kubu began as a mining town in the 18th century, originally located between two tributaries of the Selangor River. In its heyday, it was the second biggest town in Selangor. It also served as a fort for Raja Mahadi and Syed Mashor when they fought against Tengku Kudin’s army during the Selangor civil war from 1867 to 1874.

Kuala Kubu Coronation Clock Tower

Kuala Kubu Bharu which was formerly known as the Kuala Kubu placed in Administrative Resident, the first British Resident of President Sir Frank Athelstane Swettenham, followed by JP Rodger and Edward Maxwell. At that time, Kuala Kubu is a gateway to the state of Pahang. Due to major floods, the British moved their administrative centre in Kuala Kubu Bharu on May 6, 1931.

The coronation clock tower erected beside the police station on top of the hill. It was built to commemorate the coronation of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in the 1930s. It looked abandoned, the clock was not functioning, but this clock tower is important landmark that tells the history of this town.

The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan

Teluk Intan is a town located in the state of Perak in Malaysia. It is the largest town in Hilir Perak district and third largest town in the state of Perak.

In the early days, the town was known as Teluk Mak Intan, after a female Mandailing trader. It was here that the Perak rulers held court from 1528 until Kuala Kangsar became the royal town in 1877.

During the British protectorate era, the named was changed to Teluk Anson (Anson Bay), in honour of a British Officer and last Lieutenant-Governor of Penang, Major-General Sir Archibald Edward Harbord Anson who drew the plan of the modern township in 1882.

Leaning Tower erected in 1885 by a Chinese builder, Mr. Leong Choon Cheong. It started to tilt four years after its construction finished due to an underground stream. The tower was originally used as a water tower supplying the area of the town. It had a clock at the top, which still rings every 15 minutes. The tower also served as a beacon to guide ships into Teluk Intan Port. Currently it is a local tourist attraction, and no longer stores water. The area around the tower was paved with bricks and became a plaza. The main street at the centre of Teluk Intan, Jalan Ah Cheong, is named after Leong Choon Cheong to commemorate his contribution.

Kuala Kubu Road Railway Station

Not much information i know about the kuala kubu road railway station, but according to history, kuala kubu road railway station is the first station and the earliest built by the english colonial in selangor. 

This station connects the town of Rawang in southern states of Selangor and Tanjung Malim in Perak.
